Distance: 8 km. from Sant Joan.

Portinatx des Rei bay was named like this because in 1929, the king Alfonso XIII disembarked on this beach during a naval exercise. Three crescents make up this beach –Arenal Petit, Arenal Gros and Port- and they are one of the most tourist coastal places in the north.

Port de Portinatx is the most distant of the three beaches, situated in a narrow inlet, very different from the others. Fine white sand is both on the shore and in the water, and there are rocks on the sides. It is a picturesque spot, with llaüts taking refuge from the reefs and a row of fishing huts, topped by a restaurant. On the left hand side, fishermen still have huts to keep their nets and utensils.
