A visit to fortified church is a must, which was founded as a spiritual centre for the men and women who worked collecting salt in Ses Salines. It is believed that it was built before 1577, and it is characteristic for the sloppy walls and the battlements, which emphasise its defensive character. The neighbours would seek refuge in its walls when pirates attacked them. The side chapels were built in the 18th century, when the temple was no longer needed as a refuge from attacks.

In the 19th century the inside was modified, and in 1990 the main altarpiece was installed.
