Pepeta, founder of the place, created a small empire in this two-century old country house near Balàfia. At the end of the XIXth century, part of the house became a groucer shop, and later the building was enlarged to a guest house, and then came the school, and a tobacconist, and a post-office, all in one. Over the years the businesses changed to a single one, this characteristic restaurant that offers traditional dishes that any other establishment has.
Our recommendations
The menu is very varied and Catalina runs the kitchen. She is a woman from the island who cooks following the recipes of her mother and grandmother. They serve fried Xerret, dried fish salad, pigeon rice, Guisat de peix, Sofrit pagès, slaughter rice, grilled mixed seafood, etc.
