For Vicente Marí, the owner of Can Vicent, Cala Carbó is much more than just a beach. When he was a child he used to go the on horse carriges with his family from Sant Josep. They used to go there on sowing time and to tender the cattle, which they usually washed carefully with sea water. In 1981 Vicente opened this restaurant, equipped with a huge terrace that nowadays is assisted by Vicent Curtet and Toni Escarrer, who also attend the close-by Balneario restaurant.
Can Vicent offers fresh and summery starters, though the most typical ones are the Fish soup, the rice ‘a la marinera’, the mussels, fry-up squid and local fresh prawns. Next, try the Fideua, Paella, the grilled mixed seafood or Bullit de peix with rice on the side, which is the house speciality.
