If you visit Cala Sant Vicent or you happen to be around there, have no doubts and visit Can Gat. It is one of the most prestigious seafood establishments in Ibiza. It was set up at the beginning of the sixties and for the last three decades is run by Jaume Marí, who has managed to make heritage of his dishes. Pere and Javier, the cooks, were both born in the island, and they always acquire the best ingredients to prepare the traditional fish recipes. The only fisherman now working in Sa Cala, provides fish almost exclusively for this business. The shellfish is also from local waters and they have their own hatchery, where they breed spider lobsters and crayfish. It also has beautiful views over Tagomago islet, and it can’t be denied that it is a luxury to have the beach so close.
