The restaurant Cala d’Hort, also known as Ca na Vergera, is very popular in Ibiza. In its beginings, back in the sixties, it used to be no more than a beach bar, and it was opened by a local fisherman and his wife. Back then, their customers used to be the sailors of the area who were attending their boats, the typical llaüts, while staying on their fisher huts. Over the years though, the premises have expanded around a magnificent terrace, which looks onto the islets Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell, dominating the horizon’s view.
Our recommendations
All the seven children of the founder now run the kitchen and attend the clientele. They cook Paella, rice ‘a la marinera’, Guisat de peix, and a variety of baked fish. From 10 to midday they also serve breakfast.
