A wonderful bay looking to the west, awesome cliffs, and a land with flowering almond trees.
Sant Antoni de Portmany municipality occupies the north-west of Ibiza island, and attracts thousands of visitors each summer. In Sant Antoni, the largest place, offers most of the hotel facilities of the municipality. The best known beaches are also in its surroundings.
This location is also popular for discos, and a good part of the top ones –Amnesia, Privilege, Es Paradis Terrenal or Edén- are there. To watch the sun go down on the sea horizon, from the terraces in Sant Antoni, is also a classic.
This town, however, is much more than partying. The north area, sharing territory with Sant Joan, is home of the Natural area Es Amunts. There, you can visit breathtaking cliffs, solitary beaches, rocky islets and a beautiful inland where Santa Agnès and Sant Mateu plains are. Also, the farming land Es Broll de Buscatell and Sant Rafel village, on the way to Eivissa.
The treks and paths that walk this area lead you to wine and cereal crops, fruit trees, whitewashed chapels, old farms and kind and quiet people, all with a truly rural scent.
